Uninstall Ansys License Manager 2021

Ansys 19.1 Student version.In this tutorial contains how to uninstall Ansys 19.1 with proper manner and also conforms the ansys whether uninstalled properly. Uninstall the ANSYS, Inc. License Manager service. Uninstall the ANSYS Licensing Tomcat service. Delete the Shared Files subdirectory ( C: Program Files ANSYS Inc Shared Files by default). Uninstall all ANSYS from the computer. You have to extract the files from the zip file for ANSYS Student 19.0 into a folder on your C: drive.

After uninstalling the ANSYS programs from the computer, I am still not able to delete the ANSYS Inc. folder from Program Files-- My Computer .

I want to completely remove the ANSYS files from my device.

  open up elevated CMD Prompt , right-click on CMD Prompt and 'run as administrator' , then issue the following commands. Make sure you change your install path accordingly

  'C:Program FilesAnsys IncShared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_server' -k stop

  'C:Program FilesAnsys IncShared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_server' -k uninstall

  sc stop ANSYSLicensingTomcat

  sc delete ANSYSLicensingTomcat

  then, you should be able to delete the ANSYS Inc folder.

  I'm not too familar with the command prompt but how do i do this if my first line of the prompt is 'C:>' and my ansys is in that exact same folder destination. Also do I need to write that with the quotations?

  Please post the screenshots of your ANSYS directory.

  No need to change directory. What I provided is called 'absolute path' You just need to include the quote.

  Note: When we changed the platform to this new one, the backslash is not transferred to this new platform correctly. The commands are

  'C:Program FilesAnsys IncShared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_server' -k stop

  'C:Program FilesAnsys IncShared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_server' -k uninstall

  I also want to delete the Ansys folder completely after being uninstalled. I did what you mentioned but it still can not be removed. Is this issue related to Ansys license manager. Do I have to uninstall/delete Ansys license manage first? If so, please guide me.

  I also could not remove the ANSYS Inc folder. I tried what was suggested. Please help...

  
  

Do you want to uninstall ANSYS 14_5 completely from the computer? Do you receive strange errors when uninstalling ANSYS 14_5? Do you fail to install the updated version or other program after uninstalling ANSYS 14_5? Many computer users can not completely uninstall the program for one reason or another. If some files and components of the program are still left in the system, that means the program is not completely removed and uninstalled. * Locate ANSYS 14_5 and click Change/ Remove to uninstall the program.

Follow these steps on a license server machine: Stop the ANSYS, Inc. Uninstall the ANSYS, Inc. Delete the licensing subdirectory. Remove the ANSYS, Inc. Remove the ANSYSLIC_DIR and the ANSYSLIC_SYSDIR environment variables, if set.

* Follow the uninstall wizard and uninstall the program.

Most computer programs are installed with its build-in uninstaller that can also help uninstall the program.

Please know that both of Windows Add/ Remove Programs and its build-in uninstaller can only uninstall the main executable files of the program, but not all program files and components. Some invalid files may be left in system registry and folders. To completely remove ANSYS 14_5, you need to get rid of those remnants, otherwise, it will slow down your PC and block you installing other incompatible programs.

To thoroughly delete its files, please follow the steps:

* Run Registry Editor

* Find and delete all registry entries of the program in HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftware, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRuneg ui

* Find and delete all files of the program in system folders C:Program Files, C:Document and SettingsAll UsersApplication Data and C:Documents and Settings%USER%Application Data.

1. Do one of the following:
   • Windows 7: Click Start All Programs Autodesk Network License Manager LMTOOLS Utility.
   • Windows 8: Right-click Start screen All Apps LMTOOLS Utility.
   • Windows 8.1: Start screen Down Apps LMTOOLS Utility.
2. In the LMTOOLS utility, click the Start/Stop/Reread tab, and then click Stop Server.
3. Close LMTOOLS.
4. In the Windows Control Panel, locate Autodesk Network License Manager in the list of programs, and uninstall it by clicking Remove or Uninstall.
5. If prompted, restart your computer.
6. Manually delete files that you created for use with the Network License Manager, such as log files, license files, and the options file. These files are located in C:Program FilesAutodesk Network License Manager.
